Safeguarding and Child Protection

In school, we have a Designated Safeguarding Team who are responsible for Child Protecting and Safeguarding. All Designated Safeguarding Leads are trained for this role initially for a two day period and then at two yearly intervals. This is in addition to completing the annual training undertaken by all staff.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead is Sarah Tolson (Headteacher) supported by Ruth Westbrook (Deputy Headteacher), Janette Oljanuk (Parent Involvement Worker), Victoria Mason Asst Head and Early Years Lead. There are four additional safeguarding leads: Megan Firth, Sharon Adams Amy Fox and Jessica Lawrence. This team work together in partnership with Bradford Social Care to ensure that the school works within its legal duties as set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2025.

The Designated Governor for Safeguarding and Child Protection is Mary Connor (Chair of the Academy Council).
